Weight Watchers appoints Saatchi & Saatchi to UK advertising account

Weight Watchers, the world’s leading provider of weight management services, has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi to its UK integrated advertising account after a five-way pitch.

The agency will now handle all above-the-line communications for Weight Watchers’ Meetings and .Com businesses, replacing McCann Erickson on the account.

Saatchi & Saatchi will begin work immediately, with its first campaign for the brand expected to break later this year.

Lindsay Reisser-Weston, VP Marketing, Weight Watchers UK, said: “Saatchi & Saatchi has demonstrated a sound understanding of both our brand values and our business objectives and we look forward to working with them, alongside our other incumbent agencies, to deliver innovative, holistic and engaging communications campaigns.”
