T-Mobile and Saatchi & Saatchi launch second phase of Pay As You Go Peak Campaign

21 JAN 2009

On Monday 3rd November, T-Mobile will unveil the second phase of its ‘Pay As You Go' campaign.  The £6.4m campaign will reaffirm T-Mobile's position as a leading pay as you go' provider, focusing on the message that top-ups last longer with T-Mobile.

This latest burst of activity supports the idea of top ups lasting longer by offering pay as you go customers the opportunity to double their credit: when topping up their credit by £10 during the week they  receive an extra £10 free credit to use that weekend.

The new work follows April's ‘You'll Be Missed' campaign, which featured convenience store owners emotionally welcoming back customers who'd been away for a long time (due to their top ups lasting longer). This time, the TV spots feature a hero running out of a store, being chased by the shop owner and his wife. The store owners don't want him to leave as they know he'll be gone for a long time (again, due to his mobile phone top ups lasting longer).

In addition to the TVCs, there will be outdoor, online, cinema and in-store activities, with media planned and bought by MediaCom.

Sam Taylor, Head of Advertising and Sponsorship at T-Mobile, said: "More and more customers take pay as you go packages during the festive period, as they enjoy the flexibility and promotions which allow them to talk more to family and friends. The ‘Double your Credit' message captures the essence of this offer, and at a time when many consumers are watching their finances, it's important that every customer knows how they can make their top ups last longer."
