Saatchi & Saatchi take home two Silvers at the 2011Campaign Big Awards

29 SEP 2011

Saatchi & Saatchi continued a successful run of award wins in 2011, with two Silvers in the Film category for Walls Kitchen and PGA European Tour, Clay Pigeon.

Walls Kitchen secured a Silver in the Groceries, Soft-drink and Household category for Film. The execution is the first in a new campaign created by the agency, and features a miniature dog, named Allan, who is used by the male stars of the ads to express their feelings to their loved ones.
The ad’ tells the story of a husband overcome with joy after his wife serves him a plate of meaty Wall’s sausages - he uses ‘Allan’ to demonstrate his gratitude through song.
The win marks the campaign’s second accolade this year, after also featuring in the APA Collection, a compendium of the best UK commercials of the year selected by a distinguished panel of judges.

The night also saw PGA European tour ‘Clay Pigeon’ win Silver in the Sport, Travel and Leisure category for Film. The award topped off a good year for the campaign, after also securing a Silver award in the Leisure and Tourism category at the British Arrows Advertising Awards earlier this year.

‘Clay Pigeon’ is the second in a series of incredible golfing stunts that aim to test even the most experienced golfing pros. Four professional golfers met in the 35 degree searing heat of the desert in Dubai.  Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world gave a stunning backdrop as each of the golfers attempted to hit clay pigeons that were fired through the air. The viral had zero paid-for media, but was passed on through blogs, journalist reports and word of mouth. The YouTube film currently has 2.4 million hits.

Paul Silburn, Creative Partner, Saatchi & Saatchi says: “It’s been a good year creatively for the agency, and we’re delighted to be able to add our latest 2 wins to the mantle”
