Saatchi & Saatchi launches follow up challenge for the PGA European Tour’s ‘Every Shot Imaginable’ online campaign

Today, Saatchi & Saatchi delivers the hotly anticipated follow up stunt to the globally successful ‘200 yard Gong Shot’ viral they created earlier this year to launch the PGA European Tour’s ‘Every Shot Imaginable’ campaign.
Clay Pigeons is the second in this series of incredible golfing stunts that aim to test even the most experienced golfing pros. Four professional golfers including Thongchai Jaidee, David Horsey, Johan Edfors and Simon ‘Chaka’ Khan, met in the 35 degree searing heat of the desert in Dubai. Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world gave a stunning backdrop as each of the golfers attempted to hit clay pigeons that were fired through the air.
The European Tour hosts golf tournaments across the globe, with courses so varied that for a golfer to really succeed they need a special combination of imagination and shot making ability; hence the campaign idea: See Every Shot Imaginable.

It really differentiates the tour from the US tour and we have a number of other challenges planned for 2011, as well as hosting some all time great shots from the tour on the everyshotimaginable YouTube channel.”
With a powerful idea at the heart of the campaign, the focus was
on creating content so compelling, people can’t help but share it. For this reason it was essential that Clay Pigeons was 100% authentic, with no post-production trickery. As well as the winning shot, you also get to experience the humorous failed attempts and the golfers’ genuine reactions.
Saatchi & Saatchi is actively seeding the Clay Pigeons content through social media platforms to target both broad and core audiences without any initial media spend. It was also featured last night on all Sky Sports channels and Sky Sports News.
